He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Amidon and Helen Smith Amidon. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Amidon of Huntingdon, Tennessee; his children, Edith Amidon of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Greg Amidon of Blytheville, Arkansas; and his sister Betty Machell of Vermont. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
