He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Robert Cartwright; his wife Lorraine Belew (Glover); his sons, Tommy Belew (Charlotte) of Huntingdon and Brad Belew (Kelly) of Arkansas; and his siblings, Frances Davison of Lynchburg and Billy Joe Belew of Murfreesboro. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
