She was predeceased by : her father Edison Newport; her grandparents, Herman, Minnie Newport, Hazel Matthews, Turley Stanton and John Matthews; her uncles, Harvey Boles, Jimmy Stanton of Frank Matthews, DT, Bobby and Rex Newport; her aunt Kathy Newport Wilson; and her cousins, Keisha Newport Briner and Denny Newport.
She is survived by : her daughter Amber Crabtree (Josh); her grandson River Crabtree; her close friend Anthony Jeffers; her siblings, Melissa King (Sean) and Jamie Newport (Nichole); her aunt Wanda Boles; her nieces and nephews, Hannah, Haley, Lucas Newport, Grant and Levi King; her uncles, Donald Newport (Betty) and James Newport (Ruby); and her aunt Sarah Newport. She is also survived by relatives and friends; several co-workers.
She worked bravely throughout the pandemic and contracted COVID herself. She recovered and went back to work until she was no longer able due to the long-term effects of Covid.
