She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Moffette and Edna Hatmaker Moffette; her husband John Oliver Brown; and her sister Hazel Waggoner. She is survived by: her son John Michael Brown (Janie); her granddaughter Sarah Vanhook (Colby); her great grandchildren, Jazlyn, Jakoby, Ezekiel, Tegan and Cannon Vanhook; her siblings, Jim Moffette, Ella Hutchison, Francis Wood and Jewell Roberts; her brother-in-law Dan Waggoner; and her caregivers, Brenda Smith and Renee Gaddess. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Four Oaks Funeral Home, Inc. - Huntsville (2889 Baker Hwy, Huntsville, TN 37756). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
