She was predeceased by : her parents, John Vester and Grace Miller Elkins; her sons, Ricky Hightower, Joey Hightower and Larry Dale Hightower; and her brother Glenn Elkins.

She is survived by : her husband Larry Hightower of Savannah, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Melissa Hightower, Ricky Hightower (Shelby), Shelby Boepker and Jacob Hightower; her great grandchildren, River Bell, Wyatt Hightower, Jace Hightower and Waylon Hightower; her brother John Elkins of Arizona; and her nephew Jonathan Elkins of Jackson, Tennessee..
