He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Ruby Stevens; his grandparents, Cora and Marshall Dunford; his son Forest Ranger; his father Roy Dunford; his siblings, Charles Dunford and Ruth Galapon; his children, Sandra Ramey, Shelia Roddy (Tony), Susan Wills (Kirk), Stan Dunford (Trish) and Stewart Dunford (Sheila); and his siblings, Reba, Lois and Sammy Joe. He was also cherished by 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
