He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Roberson and Lillie Payne Roberson; his great grandchild Beau Oliver Gilliam; and his siblings, Richard Roberson, Babe Ruth Roberson, Luke Roberson and Violet Lingerfelt.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Layne Roberson; his daughters, Karen Colbert, Daphne Roberson and Carlene McGowan (Rick); his siblings, Cecil Roberson (Linda), Katherine Roberson, Myrtle Tate and Frankie Ross; his grandchildren, Ricky McGowan (Sheldon), Shonda McGowan and Erin Gilliam (Steven); his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kylee, Brynlee McGowan, Alannah Robinson and Indy Jude Gilliam; and his close friends, Gary Hardy, Tommy "Click" Quick and Ken Colquette. He is also survived by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
