It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ruth Burton of Jasper, Tennessee, who passed away on October 25, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ruth Burton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Hiram and Pearl Irene Lewis Coppinger; her husband Ralph Burton; and her siblings, Gilbert Hiram "Red" Coppinger, Jr., Lewis "Rabbit" Coppinger, Alice Joyce Coppinger and Nancy Coppinger Holtcamp.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Burton Payne, Gil and Meegan Rogers Burton; and her grandchildren, Caleb Payne, Bo Burton and Katie Burton. She is also survived by four nieces, and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Mary Ruth's memory be made to support the MCHS Color Guard or the MCHS Theater Arts Program, c/o Marion County High School, 160 Ridley Drive, Jasper, TN 37347.
