He was predeceased by : his parents, James Leonard Pope and Effie Mable Norris Pope; and his sisters, Mary Rosco and Faye Inabinet. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Pope; his stepdaughters, Sherrie Hughes (James) and Melissa Ledford; his stepgrandchildren, Chester Hughes, Eric Norris, Holly Hughes, Rebekah Norris, Haley Hughes and Chloe Hughes; his sisters, Doris McLamb and Sherry Solis (Ron) of Erwin, NC; and his nieces, Debbie Johnson and Mary Katherine Lewis (Kitty). He is also survived by five brothers-in-Law; five sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
