She was predeceased by: her parents, John Deadrick and Edna Deadrick; her siblings, Frank, Raymond, Ernie, Jimmy Deadrick, Leana Mae McKee, Jean McInturff and Evelyn LaPear; and her sons, Jackie D. James and Danny "Squeaky" James.
She is survived by: her siblings, Shirley Ledford, Betty Jarrett and Harry Deadrick; her children, Darlene Gates (Robert Gates), Dennis and Donnie James; her grandchildren, Chance, Danielle Gates, Dustin, Misty James, Alex, Caleb Hughes, Emma, Gabrielle, Jacob, Kylin and Carter; and her great grandchild Amara Hughes.
