She was predeceased by: her parents, Baxter Thomas and Connie Freeman Thomas of Spruce Pine; her husband Ted Young; and her siblings, Polly Thomas Beam Qualls and William Baxter Thomas.
She is survived by: her sister Elsie Thomas Pittman; her children, Tim Young (Leslie), Tony Young (Vicki) and DeLisa Wilkerson (Chuck); her grandchildren, Brenna Wilkerson (Forrest Jarvi), Emily Young, Sarah Young, Charles Joseph Wilkerson, Sam Young and Jonathan Young; and her great grandchild Owen Jarvi.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
