She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Gouge and Daisy McKinney Gouge; her husband Doug McKinney; her son David McKinney; her grandsons, Aaron McKinney and Eligah McKinney; and her sisters, Infant Carolyn Gouge, Mable Cook (Dallas), Helen Garland (Clyde), Mima Jean Taylor (Herb), Wanda Davis, Norma Davis and Grace Gouge.

She is survived by: her son Bryan (Tammy McKinney); her grandchildren, Mathew McKinney, Josh McKinney, Hannah and Isaac Johnson; her great grandchildren, Gage McKinney, Emma McKinney (Her), Matthis McKinney and Oliver Johnson; her sisters, Catherine (Harold Green), Jewel (Sammy Hubbard) and Marcella Peterson; and her friend Mable Calhoun.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

“Bryan, Josh, and Hannah, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and Mamaw. She was such a sweet lady. We spent lots of time together at birthday parties from Chuckey Cheese to Hands on Museum to other places I can’t remember. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
