He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Thompson and Roxie Henley Thompson; his brothers, Billy and Edwin Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Thompson, Etta Mae Thompson and Arvel Hughes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ted Thompson (Barbara) and Jessie Mae Hughes of Anderson, SC; and his siblings' children, Karen Rose, Vickie Yelton, Harriet Davis and Greg Thompson.
