He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Denton and Melvana Akins Denton. He is survived by: his wife Clara Denton of Jonesborough, TN.; and his children, Jerry Eugene Denton of Bluff City, TN, Sherri Denton Lawson (Daren), Carl Denton (Diana) and Tanya Denton Hawkins. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 3 Great grandchildren; 1 sister and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
