He is survived by: his wife Linda Johnson Kerley; his sons, Christopher S. Kerley of Church Hill, TN and Michael D. Kerley (Emily) of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren, Caroline E. Kerley and Everett P. Kerley of Greensboro, NC; his sister Coleen K. Hendren (Dave) of Hiddenite, NC; and his sister-in-law Katherine Kerley of Statesville, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
