She was predeceased by : her parents, Bazil Edward and Gladys Eva Steele (Nara); her husband Thomas "Tom" David Hoots; her children, David Hoots and Clara Thomas; her brother Edward Steele; and her great grandchildren, Alyssa Justice and Kayla Andrews.

She is survived by : her children, Andrew Hoots (Linda), Eileen Regnier (Rick), Esther Stepp (Lester) and Jeanette Dunst (Russ); her grandchildren, Amy, Randall, Ricky, Brian, Jaci, Jessica, Andy, Amber, Sarah, Christina, Serena and Justin; her great grandchildren, Jason, Shaelyn, Mikey, Hailey, Jeremiah, Jacob, Riley, Sophie, Bennett, Penelope, Holden and Brennan; and her great great grandchild Raylinn.
