It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Larry Long (Kingsport, Tennessee), who passed away at the age of 93, on October 9, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine House Long; his parents, Howard Long and Marie Maxwell Long; and his sister Diann Long Hollander. He is survived by: his children, David W. (Susan H. Long), Craig M. (Jane B. Long) and Ellen Long Liston; his son-in-law Scott Liston of Knoxville; his grandchildren, D. Wilson Long, Jr. of Knoxville, Liz Long Adkins (Zach) of Nashville, McLean Long (Marcia) of Austin, Texas and Ian Long of Louisville, KY; his great grandchild Lukas Adkins of Nashville; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Ragsdale House of Rome, GA and Ed Hollander of Kingsport. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (100 E Church Cir, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials go to First Presbyterian Church in Kingsport or to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games (gmhg.org).
