She was predeceased by: her son Darren Bowlin; her parents, John Wolfe and Helen Matlock Wolfe; and her siblings, Dana Pearson, D. C. Church and J. W. Wolfe.
She is survived by: her son Jim Powers, Jr. (Sherry) of Winston-Salem, NC; and her brothers, Harold Wolfe (Frances) of Church Hill and Glenn Wolfe of Kingsport. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
