It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Fay Franklin of Kingsport, Tennessee, born in Dryden, Virginia, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jessie Amburgey, Sr. and Emmer Tankersley Amburgey; her husband Bobby Franklin; her sister Norma Jean Amburgey; and her brother-in-law Elmer E. Sears, Jr..

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Guy (Clyde), Charlotte McConnell (Paul) and Charles Franklin (Anita); her siblings, Edgar Amburgey (Jeanie), Jessie Amburgey, Jr. (Norma Jean) and Arlene Amburgey Sears; and her friend Dr. Phil Kidd. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
