He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Marie Freeman; and his parents, Charlie Freeman and Pernie Freeman. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Rush of Kingston and Rev. Byron J. Freeman (Donna) of Floral City, FL.; his grandchildren, Rachel Downing Young of Knoxville, James Byron Freeman of Floral City, FL, Mandy Brozenick (Nick) of Knoxville and Austin Rush of Kingston; and his great grandchild James Paul Young, III of Knoxville.
