She was predeceased by: her parents, Oren Green and Lola Cates Green; her husband Carl E. Ownby August; her son Brian Daniel Ownby; and her siblings, John Calvin Green, William "Bill" Green and Jane Davidson.
She is survived by: her children, James O. Ownby (Leah) of Spartanburg, SC. and Melinda Kelly (Bill) of Harriman, TN; and her grandchildren, Oren C. Ownby of Boulder, CO, Chandler O Brazell (Tyler) of Spartanburg, SC, Lindsey Jones (Travis Marsh) of Knoxville, TN and Samantha Smith (Tim) of Berea. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roane County Animal Shelter.
