She was predeceased by: her parents, William Theodore Shope and Maude Williams Shope; and her siblings, Jenness Workman, Bill Shope Jr. and Bobby Shope.
She is survived by: her siblings, Joyce Newman of Sweetwater, Betty Mayfield of Sweetwater, Barbara Heuer of Sweetwater, Dennis Shope of Sweetwater, Keith Shope of Sweetwater and Gail Huffstetler of Daholnega, Georgia.; her husband Jerry Ray Stephens; her daughter Barbara Stephens Bacon; her son-in-law William Eric Bacon Sr.; her son Kent Taylor Stephens; and her grandchildren, Katherine Taylor Bacon of Kingston, TN and William Bacon Jr. of Kingston, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, the family will gather for a private Celebration of Life service at First Baptist Church, Kingston, on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 4:00 p. m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 215 North Kentucky Street, Kingston, TN 37763.
