With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billie Sue Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 3, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack O'Keefe Smith; her parents, Robert Murphy and Sarah Murphy; her siblings, Gene Murphy, Thomas Murphy and Agnes Talley; her grandson Jackson Smith; her children, DeeAnne Baird (Lance), Mike Smith (Angie) and Jacque Rees (Joe); and her grandchildren, Michael Robert Guttke (Leslie), Sarah Kolbe (Christian), Becky Quilliams (Andrew), Megan Andersen (Joseph), Julia Mitchell (Boone), Emily Wenz (Coleton) and Sarah Watson (Nicholas).
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Sophia, Evelyn, Harper, Cora, Alina, John, Beau, Emersyn, Joseph and Rhett.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation in Billie's honor to Mobile Meals Kitchen, 1747 Reynolds Street, Knoxville, TN 37921.
