The memory of Carrie Jane Bales of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 13, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Bales; her parents, Wayne Bivens and Emma Bivens; her siblings, Charles, Randall, Verlin, Ronnie Bivens and Gertrude Lebasseur; her children, Lance Rutherford, Mike Lauderdale, Evelyn Atchley and Gwenia Williams; her stepdaughter Sue Ayers; and her grandsons, Josh Lauderdale and Brandon Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Joel Rutherford (Donna), Jess Lauderdale and Kathy Burrows; and her sisters, Sylvia Evans and Revia Davis (Tom). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Beech Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (3208 Douglas Dam Rd, Kodak, TN 37764).
