It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Martin Whaley of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Whaley and Carrie Lee; and his siblings, Victor Whaley, Gene Whaley and Libby Whaley.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Hickman Whaley; his sons, Josh Whaley (Tina) and Jason Whaley (Carli); his grandchildren, Zoe, Ella, Norah, DJ, Maddie and Elliot; his brother-in-law Buddy Burnette; and his siblings, Jim Whaley (Betty), Gary Whaley, Mike Whaley, Linda Whaley, Mary Morgan (John) and Martha Munsey (Tim).
