He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ballard; his children, William Chappell (Billy) and Amanda Williams (Benny Williams); his grandchildren, Haley Bowness (William Thornton), Devin Bowness, Skyla Williams, Zeke Creager and Aleigha Williams; and his siblings, Emma Lambert (Posty), Sue Miley and Fred Ballard (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
