He was predeceased by: his former wife Oy Burke (Ling); his parents, Martin Burke and Enise Burke; and his siblings, Marilyn Jordan (Burke) and Howard Burke.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Burke (Householder); his children, Brian Burke and Leslie Burke; his grandchildren, Meredith, Noah, Abigail and Ellie; his siblings, Delta Bean (Burke), Wanda Scaggs (Burke), Joyce Anne Burke, Martha Coleman (Burke), John Burke, Ted Burke and Mike Burke; and his nephew Jim. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home (5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919).
