He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Tuttle Cockrum; his parents, Winifred Cockrum and George Cockrum; and his in-laws, Dorothy and Robert Tuttle.
He is survived by: his sons, John Cockrum (Ginny) of Hampstead and Jim Cockrum of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Porter, Jack, Fletcher, Patton, Willa, Layla and Aiden; his sister Becky; and his brother-in-law Steve Mishket of Dandridge, Tennessee..
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rose Mortuary (1421 N Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Memorial Cemetery (5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919).
