We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2023, at the age of 81, Gloria Jean Blackwell of Knoxville, Tennessee, born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Smith and Ethyl Smith (Simmons); her husband Harry Blackwell; her brother Frank W. Smith; and her sibling's children, Pamela Barkley and Mark Smith.

She is survived by: her sons, James Blackwell of Knoxville, TN and Jay Blackwell (Sandi Fenske) of Knoxville, TN; her grandson Jason Blackwell (Katrina Swan) of Knoxville, TN.; her siblings, Glenn (Mary Smith), Edward (Charlene Smith) and Maxine Smith of Youngwood, PA; and her sister-in-law Therese Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville, TN.
