He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dot Ownby, Majorie Herman, Max Lawhorn and Paul Lawhorn; his son Gary Lawhorn; his grandson Christopher Lawhorn; and his stepgranddaughter Diana Vaskovsky.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Lawhorn; his siblings, Clairese "Beadie" Nipper, Ruth Ray, Ralph Lawhorn and Ray Lawhorn; his daughter-in-law Debbie Lawhorn; his children, Darrell Lawhorn (Beth), Brian Lawhorn (Pam) and April Roberts (Josh); his grandchildren, Gary D. Lawhorn (Jessica) and Angel Lawhorn; and his children, Michael Lawhorn, Nichole Wingo (Trey), Kristin Burnette (Tyler), Logan Roberts and Rylee Roberts. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Edgewood Cemetery (219 S Gallaher View Rd, Knoxville, TN 37919).
