He was predeceased by: his father Stanley George. He is survived by: his wife Diane Adele (Jones); his children, Arthur James (Rhonda), Elizabeth Adele Sheets (Tony) of Prairie Village, KS and Thomas Judd (Melinda); his grandchildren, Cydney Crook Mason (Andrew), Kailyn Crook, Maisie, Ike and Burt Sheets; and his children, Zackary and Anna Crook.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Front Page Foundation, providing journalism scholarships, Po Box 52433, Knoxville, TN 37950.
