He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Josiah Darrow and Elizabeth Darrow (Bette). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mae Darrow (George); his daughters, Beth (Darrow) and Jennifer (Darrow); his grandchildren, Darcy (Harrington), Curtis (Chase), James Robert Harrington, Zoe Harrington, Victoria Hinton, John Hinton Jr. (Meredith Harpel) and Anwhitney Hinton; and his brother Edward Darrow (Bonnie) of Ohio. He is also survived by sister.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Rose-Mann Mortuary (6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Edgewood Cemetery (219 S Gallaher View Rd, Knoxville, TN 37919).
