She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" T. Lifford, Sr.; her daughter Teresa McGhee (William); her parents, Ross Monroe and Norma Monroe; her grandsons, Austin and Andy Merrell; and her daughter-in-law Helen Lifford.
She is survived by: her children, Amy A. Merrell (Richard) of Knoxville and James T. Lifford, Jr. of Friendsville, TN; and her grandchildren, James Thomas Lifford III, Tammy Webb, Travis McGhee, Chelsey Hobbs (Sloan), Skyler Merrell (Kira) and Diana Martin (Ted). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
