With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Clayton of Knoxville, Tennessee, born in Finger, Tennessee, who passed away on August 3, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dot Clayton; and his parents, Cratus Clayton and Ruth Clayton. He is survived by: his children, Richard Joseph Clayton (Victoria), Mark Eads Clayton (Ashley) and Deborah JoAnne Justus (Randy); his grandchildren, Jessica Clayton, Christina Clayton Sullivan (Josh) and Britney Justus; and his brother James L. Clayton (Michell). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other family members.
Due to Covid-19 the graveside service will be private for family and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The First Tee of Greater Knoxville and the Boys and Girls Club of Knoxville.
