Larry Shelton Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Shelton of Knoxville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 12, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Larry has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shelton and Willa Mae McFarland Shelton; his wife Evelyn Shelton; and his sister Gail Shelton. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Stokes (Brian); his granddaughter Emma Stokes; his brother Jerry Shelton; and his niece Eva Wallace (Jimmy).

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
