She was predeceased by: her parents, Dot Kershaw (Al) of Chattanooga and John Hurts (Nancy) of Powell; her brother Joe Kershaw; and her siblings-in-law, Julie Kershaw Dollar and JC Shumaker of Chattanooga.

She is survived by: her son Morgan Jacob; her daughter-in-law Serra Kerley Stiles of Knoxville; and her siblings, Cyndi Hurtt, April Frye (Robert), Dan Kershaw (Marisa McDonough) of Chattanooga and Johnny Hurtt of Fort Payne. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
