She was predeceased by : her parents, Hartwell O. Meade and Jennie Beck Meade (Edward L. Gillenwater); her son Edward L. Gillenwater, Jr.; and her granddaughter Lindsay E Gillenwater. She is survived by : her sister Peggy A. Blevins (Meade) of Knoxville; her children, Bobby B. Gillenwater (Gloria) of Fort Wayne, IN and Debra L Sneed (John) of Knoxville; her daughter-in-law Patricia Gillenwater (Qualls) of Oxford, MS; her grandchildren, Casey E Gillenwater (Kerry) of Chicago, IL, Michael B. Gillenwater (Andrea) of Fort Wayne, Virginia K Kita (Hiro) of Tokyo and Edward L Gillenwater III of Longmont; and her great grandchildren, Sydney E Gile, Cameron J Gillenwater of Fort Wayne, Mabel E Gillenwater of Chicago and Jasmynn Sneed of Knoxville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fountain City United Methodist Church, Appalachia United Methodist Church or the Hartwell and Jennie Meade Scholarship Fund at Johnson University in Knoxville.
