It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Morrel J. Patterson of Andersonville, Tennessee, born in Crowder, Mississippi, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Patterson and Luna Mae Patterson; his wife Ruby Mae; his former wife Sue Baker; his son Randy Morrell; and his siblings, Albert Jr., Willie Dean, John Sr. Rudolph, Marge and Miriam.

He is survived by: his former wife Doris Louise Garrett; his children, Daniel Albert, Vickie Lynn, Brenda Sue and Morrell James Patterson; and his sister Stella Robertson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
