He was predeceased by: his brother Morgan Brown Ayres, Jr.. He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Wilson Ayres; his children, Angie Jones, Michael Ayres and David Ayres; his grandchildren, Jordan Campbell, Lindsey Ayres, Rachael, Morgan Jones, Burkley, Harper, Wilson and Anna Griggs Ayres; and his brothers, Thomas Miller Ayres and Dr. Julian Alexander Ayres.
