He was predeceased by : his parents, Alexander H. Flanagan and Frances Flanagan. He is survived by : his wife Fredda Flanagan; his sons, Edward B. Flanagan (Melissa) and James R. Flanagan (Deborah); his stepson Michael C. Rich (Carlene); his daughters, Frances L. Clark (Dewey), Peggy A. Soloman (Lee) and Teresa D. Webster (Michael); and his close friend Adel Hussein. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
