He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Douglas Sowards Sr. and Sadie Marie Walters Sowards; and his children, Jamison Lee Sowards and Kaitlynn Marie Sowards. He is survived by: his children, Adam Sowards of Dayton, Justin Sowards (Trianna) of Columbus, Indiana and Brittnie Sowards of La Porte, Indiana; his sisters, Carol Loper (Harlan) of Powell, Tennessee. and Dawn Peters (Raymond) of Powell, Tennessee.; his siblings' children, Kameron and Kristina; and his pet Maggie.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Brick Union Cemetery (210 Louella St, Greenup, KY 41144).
