He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Slyke and Mary Van Slyke; and his siblings, Dorothy, Mary Ellen, Richard and Earl.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Lance (Clark Lance) of Eagleville, Tenn.; his granddaughters, Christina Lance of Nashville, Tenn. and Mallory Dodd (Andrew Dodd); and his great grandchildren, Jack of Franklin, Tenn., Sam of Franklin, Tenn. and Caroline Dodd of Franklin, Tenn..
