He was predeceased by: his parents, Mallie Garrett and Hobert Garrett. He is survived by: his children, Robin Mills (Gary), Kimberly Ray (David), Kristi Green and McKinley Garrett; his grandchildren, Kaneisha Chapman (Mike), DeMarcus Mills, Jaylan Green, Caroline Scalf, Abram Scalf, Christopher Garrett-Byrn and Abaddon Carnagey; his great grandchild Caiden Chapman; his sisters, Frances Carson, Rose Trammell, Linda Williams, Brenda Price and Berlynn Herrell; and his close friend Danny Kosier. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
