She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Potter (Ed); her parents, Charlie C. Rice and Emma Alline Grubbs Rice; and her siblings, Carl Haze Rice, Ina Ruth Rice Flynn and Dorothy Jane Rice Cole.

She is survived by: her brothers, Paul E. Rice (Judy) and LaFollette J. C. Rice; her nephews, Charles T. Rice, Michael Rice, Clifton Rice, Richard Flynn, Rudy Mundy and Michael Medley Rev; and her friend Noon.
