She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Smithers and Rachael Boshears Smithers; her husband Clement Shelby Laxton; her siblings, Tommy Hugh Smithers, Billy Smithers and Faye Glover; her nephew Lonnie Harness; her grandsons, Branthan Laxton and Dustan Laxton; and her niece Cheryl Harness.
She is survived by: her children, Clement Hugh Laxton (Donna), Barbara Sue Smith (Rick) and Della Rachel Stanley (Mike); her grandchildren, Lashae Smith (Jordan), Makayla Crews (Tyler), Colby Smith (Caiti), Joshua Stanley (Katelyn), Kristen Stanley and LaKrista Laxton (Jose); and her great grandchild Brantathan Alexander Figueroa.
