He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tillman Powell, Sr. and Liba Smith Powell. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kidwell Powell; his children, Tracey Heatherly and Jimmy Powell (Treena); his grandchildren, Christa, Elijah, Rachel, Julia, Taylor and Melinda; and his siblings, Robert Powell (Glenice) and Linda Clear (Dennis). He is also survived by 2 Great-Grandchildren.
