He was predeceased by: his parents, Erbie Stooksberry and Pearl Daniel Stooksberry; and his siblings, Pauline Williams, Lucille Moore, Annie Holden, Clura Richter, Evelyn Stooksberry, Edward Stooksberry, Alvin Stooksberry and Terry Stooksberry.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Dishongh Stooksberry; his children, Lisa Stooksberry Hill (Douglas) and Scott Stooksberry (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Mitchell Stooksberry, Brooklyn Stooksberry and Brennan Stooksberry. He is also survived by in-laws; and many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Polio Heroes of Tennessee (Easterseals) or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASCPA).
