She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Venable and Minne Coleman Venable; her husband Grady G. Dixon; her son Jerry Jason Dixon; her siblings, Inez Venable, Chester Venable and Lester Venable; her daughter-in-law Kathy Dixon; and her sister-in-law Pearline Methvin.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Staggs (Thomas), Joan Hargrove (Troy), Janet Gamble, John W. Dixon and Jeff Dixon (Sandy); her sisters-in-law, Jean Bowen (Bill), Patty Benson and Carolyn Venable; her grandchildren, Teresa Fraley (Gary), Jennifer Flippo (Chris), Melissa Crews, Kim Hargrove, Tim Hargrove (Natalie), Diane Gunn, Zacheray Gamble, Amber Barrier (Jeremy), Richard Dixon (Jennifer), Logan Dixon, Bradley Dixon and Paul Dixon; and her stepgrandsons, Tony Renier and Wesley Renier. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee's Executive Order No. 17, a private graveside service was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
