He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franklin Rodgers and Lowrinia Buchanan Rodgers; his siblings, Hoyte, Melbron, Jimmie Lee Rodgers, Garland (Jean Rodgers), Bill (Ruth Rodgers), Kenneth Rodgers, Lawrence Rodgers and Henrietta; his brother-in-law Jim McKee; and his granddaughter Courtney Blake Rodgers.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Maude Rodgers (Hope); his children, James A. Rodgers Jr., Vickie Lynn Mills (Doug) and Deborah Alene Stephens (Ray); his grandchildren, Joshua Wayne Stephens (Abby), Shelley Jo Allison (Morgan), Brittany Hawkins (Mikeal), Micah RheaAnne Stephens, Miranda Leigh Rodgers and Mary Catherine Pile; his great grandchild Lily Hawkins; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Rodgers, Leona, Jack Goff, Sam, Linda Hope, Clyde, Pat Hope and Arthur Hope; and his niece Margie Sue.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home, Inc. (109 S Walnut St, Lenoir City, TN 37771). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
