He was predeceased by: his son Michael Hooks; his grandson Joe Vincil; his parents, Fred Hooks and Margaret O'Neal Hooks; and his siblings, Marcella Hooks Moneymaker and Henry Hooks.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Brannon Hooks; his children, James Hooks (Belinda), Amy Foxx (Jesse), Mark Hooks (Danielle) and Heather Simpson (Brian); his grandchildren, Dustin Hooks (Heather), Tarah Carpenter (Dustin), Michael Hooks, Brandon Hooks (Sierra), Cameron Hooks, Rachael Hosfield (Chris) and David Simpson; and his siblings, Donnie Hooks, Mike Hooks, Evelyn Thompson, Patricia Skidmore and Brenda Hooks. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home, Inc. (109 S Walnut St, Lenoir City, TN 37771).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
